The 2015 Saintayme has become perhaps the most opulent 2015 from Denis Durantou, with copious blackberry and raspberry coulis scents intermingling with vanilla and a touch of violet. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannin, finely structured with great depth. It maybe does not quite have the persistence of the Les Cruzelles and La Chenade, but I strongly suspect that it will repay a couple of years in bottle. Maybe this has something up its sleeve? It will be fascinating to plot this Saint-Émilion’s progress. Score: 91 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2020-2032 01 March 2018 |

The 2015 Saintayme is pure Merlot picked between 29 September and 9 October, cropped at 45 hl/ha and raised in 30% new oak. It has a gorgeous bouquet with blackberry and cranberry fruit, a touch of vanilla emanating from the new oak that is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with good depth, a "solid" Saintayme, a pleasant chewiness with a feisty dark berry, licorice-tinged finish. This comes recommended - a fine Saint Emilion from the hands of Denis Durantou. Score: 90 - 92 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2018-2030 01 April 2016 |

A juicy and delicious red with red tile, plums and cherries. Full body, round tannins and a long and juicy finish. Absurdly good for the price. Love it. Drink now or hold. Better in 2020. Score: 93 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 02 February 2018 |

Denis Durantou's 2015 Saintayme emerges from vineyards in Saint-Émilion's Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse sector. Soft contours enshroud a core of black cherry, plum, espresso, mocha, dried herbs and new leather. Dark, sumptuous and positively alluring, the 2015 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Another year or two in bottle should help the oak (30% new) integrate a bit more fully. (89+) Score: 89 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2020-2030 01 February 2018 |

Denis Durantou's 2015 Saintayme, 100% Merlot, is dark, exuberant and wonderfully open-knit. Dark red cherry, plum, mocha, spice and new leather give the 2015 much of its seductive, welcoming personality. The purity of the fruit is striking. Because of the protracted malos, the wines went into barrel late, and that shows the slightly angular contours that are the result of oak that has not fully integrated. There is good potential here. Harvest took place between September 29 and October 9. Score: 87 - 90 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com 01 April 2016 |

Checking in as 100% Merlot, the 2015 Saintayme from Denis Durantou is another terrific value from this vintage. Loaded with notions of red currants, black cherries, dried earth and hints of toasty oak, it has beautiful fruit, a plump, mouth-filling texture, ripe tannin a great finish. It has the ripe, sexy fruit of the vintage and will keep for 7-8 years, if not longer. Score: 90 Jeb Dunnuck, - Maturity: 2018-2026 30 November 2017 |

100% Merlot from Denis Durantou, the famed winemaker behind Pomerol superstar Eglise Clinet. Intense red fruits, a hint of liquorice and spiced intensity in the mouth. Sappy and juicy with good length. Will be a great value pick. Score: 89 - 91 Albany Vintners, - 27 April 2016 |

Dramatically dark crimson. Very opulent nose. Pretty aromatics. Very flattering sweet palate entry but something a little suggestive of a dry cinnamon stick on the finish. Pretty dry. Shame because the start is so charming. Just 30% new oak, apparently. Score: 16 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2021-2029 01 April 2016 |

Delivers a blast of dark plum, fig and boysenberry fruit pushed from behind by ganache and licorice notes, with a long finish. Not shy in style, but integrated and caressing in feel. Score: 90 - 93 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 01 April 2016 |
