Direct, with a lively mesquite note piercing the core of gently mulled raspberry and blackberry fruit. Shows a fleshy edge on the finish, where a dried fruitcake hint lingers. Best from 2018 through 2022. Score: 88 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2018-2022 01 April 2017 |

Mid crimson. Very appetising and fresh on the nose. Round and well balanced with lots of vigour. Beautifully balanced even if almost unnervingly forward. GV Score: 16+ Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2018-2026 28 February 2017 |

The crushed-berry and lemon-rind character is beautiful on the nose and the palate. Medium-to full-bodied, firm and silky. Lovely texture and length. Refined. Drink in 2020. Score: 92 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Maturity: 2020+ 13 February 2017 |

The 2014 Croix Canon, the Deuxième Vin from Château Canon, offers a simple bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry aromas, perhaps missing a little personality and tension. The palate is medium-bodied with supple black fruit, crisp acidity, nicely structured with a slight tarriness towards the finish. Drink this now and over the next four or five years. Score: 89 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 31 January 2017 |
