The 2014 Chasse-Spleen has a more rambunctious bouquet than the 2014 Camensac tasting alongside it, with fresh and very lively black cherry and boysenberry aromas mixed with cedar and pine needles. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine bead of acidity, lovely fleshy blackberry and raspberry fruit mixed with black pepper and tobacco towards the finish. What a delicious 2014 – one that should age with style. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. Score: 92 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2020-2040 01 March 2018 |

The 2014 Chasse-Spleen has turned out very nicely. Medium in body and refreshing, it offers striking balance and class. Dark cherry, tobacco, flowers and a hint of spice add lovely nuances throughout. Score: 89 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2017-2022 01 February 2017 |
