The 2019 Guillot Clauzel is every bit as compelling as it was from barrel. Rich fruit and racy contours show the exuberance of the warm summer and yet persistent mineral-drive, savory undertones add distinctive character. It's the sort of wine that needs a few years in bottle to fully blossom. Vibrant dark fruit, dried rose petal, licorice and menthol build into the potent finish. This is the second vintage made under the direction of Guillaume Thienpont. The future certainly looks bright here. Score: 93 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2027 - 2039 01 February 2022 |

The 2019 Guillot-Clauzel is a dark, sumptuous wine. Black cherry, chocolate, dark spice, menthol, licorice and inky dark fruit infuse this plush, succulent Pomerol with tons of depth and character. Soft, open-knit and plush in the glass, this under-the-radar Pomerol is absolutely exquisite. Guillaume Thienpont took over the farming and winemaking at this small domaine in 2018. The 22019 is another step in a very positive direction. Score: 91 - 93 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com 18 June 2020 |

Earthy tannins, gunsmoke and black tea curling out of the glass, and majoring of redcurrant, raspberry and black cherry fruits. This has an elegance to it, and a juicy finish, and as it relaxes, graphite and pencil lead notes appear. Second vintage with Guillaume Thienpont as winemaker, from an estate on gravelly south-facing slopes (the gravel goes right down to 2m, but there are cool clay soils underneath). Score: 92 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2024-2038 26 January 2022 |

This has clear mid palate expansion and gentle sweet berry fruits with layers and precision. Extremely Pomerol, a lovely wine. 50% new oak. Second year with Guillaume Thienpont overseeing the vineyard. Score: 92 Jane Anson, Decanter.com Maturity: 2024 - 2038 29 April 2020 |

Extremely aromatic with violets and other flowers, together with some blackberries and dried fruit, such as figs. Dried olives, too. Full-bodied and beautifully ripe with a rich palate and fine, chewy tannins. Yet, it turns fine and polished at the end. Made by Guillaume Thienpoint, the son of the winemaker at Le Pin and VCC. A blend of 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc. 5,500 bottles made from only 2.5 hectares. Try after 2027. Score: 96 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Maturity: 2027+ 22 January 2022 |

Very deep and rich for this estate. I am blown away with the richness and complexity. It offers such depth of chocolate and red-fruit flavor. Full body and round, very fine tannins. The finish goes on for minutes. Chocolate and hazelnut undertones. Salty and minerally. This is one to look for. New Le Pin? Made by Guillaume Thienpoint, the son of the winemaker at Le Pin and VCC. A blend of 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc. 5,500 bottles made from only 2.5 hectares. Score: 97 - 98 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 28 May 2020 |

This wine is now being made by Guillaume Thienpont, from Vieux Chateau Certan. The blend this year is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, harvested between the 23rd of September and 4th of October. The alcohol came in at 14.4% and the pH is 3.7. It is being aged in French oak barrels, 50% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Guillot Clauzel bursts from the glass with flamboyant notes of plum preserves, baked black cherries and mulberries with hints of dark chocolate, licorice and black peppercorns plus a waft of smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers open-knit, black fruit flavors with plush tannins and compelling freshness, finishing long and juicy. Clearly, this is a property on an upward trend and one to watch! Score: 92 - 94 Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 18 June 2020 |
