The 2020 Teyssier is laced with inky dark fruit, crème de cassis, lavender, spice and chocolate. Medium in body, with terrific purity and tons of nuance, Teyssier is a very pretty wine, especially in its price range. There is a bit of grittiness in the tannin that hopefully will soften with aging. This opens beautifully with aeration. Score: 91 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2024-2032 23 February 2023 |

The 2020 Teyssier is a gorgeous, racy wine. Inky dark cherry, wild flowers, kirsch, lavender and sweet spice are front and center. Exotic floral and spice notes give Teyssier its wild, flamboyant personality. All the elements are nicely balanced, though there is just a bit of coarseness that could be refined. Score: 88 - 90 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2024 - 2035 04 June 2021 |

The 2020 Teyssier is shaping up to be a real gem. Inky, mineral and wonderfully focused, the 2020 pulses with energy from start to finish. Blackberry jam, graphite, cloves, menthol and lavender build effortlessly. In 2020, the Teyssier is a bit more vibrant and restrained than usual, and that is a positive. There's a lot to look forward to. Score: 89 - 91 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2025-2035 01 June 2021 |

White pepper spice, damson, cocoa bean, plenty of intensity, but no need to wait to begin drinking. 3.5ph, harvest 1-8 October. Low yields after mildew. Score: 89 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2023-2032 15 February 2023 |

Teyssier is always a consistent choice in St-Emilion, although it shows a few issues of the vintage, as there are a lot of firm tannins to work through to get to the ripe fruit, with touches of fig and prune overlaying fresher raspberry notes. Concentrated, inky, serious, with coffee edging, no trace of bitterness though and this is still a pleasurable solid choice. 3.5pH. Yields down at 20hl/ha because of mildew. Harvest from September 15 to October 8. 25% MLF in new oak. 60ha vineyard. Score: 89 Jane Anson, Decanter.com Maturity: 2023 - 2028 20 May 2021 |

The 2020 Teyssier has a sweet plush bouquet with raspberry coulis and mulberry, a touch of black olive in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, very smooth and easygoing, quite savory towards the soy-tinged finish. Enjoy this over the next 5 to 7 years. Score: 86 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2023-2030 08 February 2023 |

A wine that’s going to be an incredible value, the 2020 Château Teyssier offers up a deep ruby/purple color as well as impressive red and blue fruits intermixed with hints of flowers and earth. Playing in the medium-bodied end of the spectrum, it has wonderful purity, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. A pretty, elegant wine that brings beautiful fruit, it’s well worth seeking out. Score: 90 - 92 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com 25 May 2021 |

The 2020 Teyssier is composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The Merlot was picked from September 15th to October 1st, and the Cabernet Franc from September 30th to October 8th. It has an alcohol of 13.9% and a pH of 3.5. It is aging in French oak barrels, 25% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of baked red and black plums, blackberry preserves and mulberries, plus touches of hoisin, licorice and lilacs. The medium-bodied palate delivers a great intensity of black fruits with an approachable, soft texture and a racy line, finishing refreshing. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Cask sample. Juicy if light and fruity. Misses some mid-palate fruit. Light, dusty tannins that finish a little dry. (JL) Score: 15 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com 09 May 2021 |
