Good bright red. Spicy red cherry and sexy soil tones on the nose. Penetrating, stylish wine with terrific vinosity to its red fruit and crushed stone flavors. Finishes with lovely length and slowly mounting complexity. This will need several years of bottle aging to blossom in bottle. Etienne de Montille described 2013 as "a good to very good vintage, but 2012 is great, with density, stuffing and balance." He went on: "Even the premier crus from 2012 will need 7 to 12 years of cellaring." The domain vineyards have been certified organic since the 2012 vintage.
