The 2016 Duluc de Branaire-Ducru is a soft, fruity wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the red/purplish berry fruit and floral notes retain their youthful vibrancy. Score: 89 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2018-2024 01 January 2019 |

Undoubtedly the best of the three Dulucs, it takes a bit of the best of each of the other two. Fascinating that the colour is so different, far more vibrant purple than the other two even though only a year separates it from the 2015. This one has so much vibrancy and life to it. Bottled in early July, so almost six months ago, it is wonderfully expressive but clearly has hidden power, firm tannins, great acidity. It has that naturally unforced gourmet edge of a great vintage, and will clearly age the best of these three. Score: 91 Jane Anson, Decanter.com Maturity: 2023 - 2037 14 December 2018 |
