The 2017 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru is bright, precise and beautifully sculpted. Petrol, graphite and white flowers give the Vaillons an exotic feel that is really beguiling. Pliant and also chiseled, the Vaillons impressed with its alluring beauty and exceptional balance. The 2017 Chablis Les Séchets 1er Cru has a complex bouquet with scents of pressed flowers mixed with struck flint, later hints of chalk dust. The palate is full of tension right from the start, the terroir flooding through this Premier Cru with superb nervosité towards the finish, plus a very long spicy aftertaste.
