Seductive aromas of sandalwood, rose, green olive and cherry are the hallmarks of this rich red. The dense structure buoys the long finish and the lingering aftertaste evokes cherry and spice notes. The Echezeaux 2016 is also one of the highlights – surprisingly forward and expressive at this stage with a lovely floral and organic expression. The nose offer vibrant cherries and raspberries, hints of pomegranate and strawberries – lovely minerality and spicyness. On the palate tremendous length, depth and balance – a good match for the Clos de Vougeot quality wise.
