The 2013 Langoa Barton has a perfumed bouquet, touches of Asian spice and cedar infusing the black fruit, a touch of cold stone surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, minerally red berry fruit, fine tension here with a simple, nicely balanced, fresh cedary finish. It could be described as a "workman-like" Langoa, but in a positive sense of the word. It does its job. Score: 88 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2018-2030 28 October 2016 |

The Langoa Barton is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc picked between 2 and 14 October. It has a light gravelly bouquet with blackberry and iodine with a tang of seaweed. The palate has a harmonious entry with fine tannins, a laid-back Langoa that is simple but elegant. This is a simple, easy drinking Langoa to enjoy over the next 10 years. Tasted April 2014. Score: 87 - 89 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 April 2014 |

I like the pure and clean fruit with medium to full body, integrated tannins and juicy finish. A sliced lemon and dark fruit undertone. Long subtle finish. Score: 91 - 92 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 01 April 2014 |

The 2013 Langoa-Barton is laced with sweet red cherries, crushed flowers, spices and mint, all in a feminine, graceful style with modest depth and structure. Silky tannins support the mid-weight, floral finish. The 2013 should drink nicely right out of the gate, as it is already quite open. The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Tasted twice. Score: 86 - 89 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com 01 April 2014 |

Fine colour and fine fragrance of Cabernet fruit, floral, elegant, attractively polished wine. Score: 90 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2017-2028 01 April 2014 |

Even mid-ruby colour. Lovely and clean with lots of black liquorice. Carefully managed tannins. Correct and well-measured. Dry and classical. Score: 89 - 91 Albany Vintners, - 01 April 2014 |

Smoky, flinty character to the nose. Elegant aromatic quality, plenty of perfume. Pretty firm build, with a long, grippy persistence. Lots to enjoy here. (17+) Score: 17 Jancis Robinson MW, Richard Hemming, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2018-2028 01 April 2014 |

On the taut side, with a sinewy feel to the red currant and damson plum fruit. Rather brisk through the finish, with the iron and savory details standing out. Score: 86 - 89 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 01 April 2014 |
