The 2010 Barolo Bricco Pernice is a fabulous and exuberant expression with dark lines and the proverbial big bones. You get structure, power and long aging potential wrap into one beautiful package. Fruit is sourced from a two-hectare vineyard that represent one of this estate's most historic and celebrated crus. The intensity and vigor of the wine is impeccable and it finishes with well-managed tannins and long flavors of dark fruit, Morello cherry and spice. This wine needs to flesh out further. Give it another 5-10 years of cellar aging. Score: 95 Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2017-2035 29 June 2015 |
