Pol Roger’s NV Brut Extra Cuvee de Reserve is a bit compact in this version, but nevertheless shows excellent length. The wine blossoms on the palate, gaining volume, depth and fragrance on the finish. Interestingly, the Cuvee de Reserve comes across as more vibrant than the Brut Nature, which I would not have expected. This is Lot L0159172, disgorged July, 2009.
