Meaty nose with dark ripe fruit and a touch of smoke. Opens up with violets, chalk and cherry blossom. Full-bodied and intense on the palate with polished tannins and a long soft finish. Juicy and pure. Drinks well already, but will of course soften with time. Second wine of Pomerol's sensational L'Eglise Clinet. Better in 2017. Score: 93 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Maturity: 2017+ 18 February 2013 |

The second wine of L’Eglise-Clinet is pure Merlot aged in 50% new oak. It displays great precision on the nose with scents of wild strawberry, blood orange and a hint of tangerine, all with sizzling definition and zest. This is so lively and 'animated'. The palate is medium-bodied: lifted on the entry with dense dark berry fruit laced with crushed stone and a touch of black tea. Like all of Denis Durantou’s 2010, this is underpinned by extraordinary freshness and vitality, whilst the finish has immense precision. Score: 93 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 November 2012 |

This pure Merlot from the gravel soils of l’Eglise-Clinet was cropped between 27th to 30th September. It has a voluminous, vivacious bouquet, just slightly reductive this sample, but opening nicely in the glass with billowing plum and cranberry fruit. The palate is vibrant with firm tannins, very good acidity, very pure and structured with superb persistency on the finish. This is as beautifully crafted as many Grand Cru. This really should not be this good...but it is! Tasted April 2011. Score: 93 - 95 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 29 April 2011 |

Expressive nose with black fruit and espresso. Rich, dark and full-bodied with milk chocolate, nice freshness and good tannic backbone. Score: 91 - 93 Albany Vintners, - 28 April 2011 |

Very difficult to present wines ready to drink. Very dark. The Merlot picked after that for Église Clinet. Post rain? Been in barrel for two to three months. Quite edgy and awkward. So young! Not that intense but too early to taste. Slightly tough on the end. (16.5++ Points) Score: 16 - 17 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2016-2026 15 April 2011 |

More gras and opulence than usual, certainly more than in '09. Ripe, full and caressing with red fruit and chocolate notes. Tannins a touch abrasive otherwise a higher note. Score: 16 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2015-2025 01 April 2011 |
