Tasted single blind against its peers. Denis Dubourdieu conjured a wonderful Barsac in 2007. Here there is an initial lightness on the nose that builds with each swirl of the glass. It exhibits fine minerality with apple, dried honey and a touch of wet stone. The palate is very harmonious with good acidity, very focused and succinct with great precision towards the poised finish. This has barely starting motoring, but it possesses an unbridled sense of nonchalance. Tasted January 2011. Score: 94 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 February 2012 |

The 2007 Doisy-Daene has an intense nose with heavily botrytized fruit with notes of peach, honeydew melon, apple-blossom and a touch of mango. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced with a fantastic sense of tension and nervosité. Notes of honey, peach, minerals, citrus lemon with a wonderfully focused finish that goes on and on. A really wonderful Barsac. Tasted April 2008. Score: 94 - 96 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2012-2040 01 May 2008 |

Very fruity, showing tropical fruit such as mango on the nose, with lots of spice. Full-bodied and really sweet, with a honeylike, almost syrupy density. Spicy and intense on the finish. Score: 93 James Suckling, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2015+ 31 March 2010 |

Intensely spicy, with lots of dried apricot, apple and pear character on the nose and palate. Full and rich, yet racy and lively. Shows balance and wonderful potential. Score: 90 - 93 James Suckling, Wine Spectator 31 March 2008 |

Mid gold. Very broad and rich on the nose. Frank and straightforward. Big and bold and very well expressed. Dry finish. Quite long and very well balanced. Score: 18 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2012-2020 27 October 2009 |

Pale greenish gold. Floral, mineral notes with a strongly mineral streak – promising! Very exciting. Classic stuff with strong botrytis character and great richness yet lots of well integrated acidity. Quite long and neat. A throat warmer. Score: 18 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2015-2035 10 April 2008 |

Lovers of this cru will not be disappointed. As usual the emphasis is on elegance and freshness rather than power. There is piercingly pure fruit and length, yet with fine concentration. It is still very much evolving but the breed comes through could go higher. Score: 17 Decanter, - 08 April 2008 |

15% Sauvignon Blanc and 85% Semillon. Bright pale green gold. Very fresh with floral and grassy aromas, with honeysuckle and pear. The palate is tightly defined with lots of candied lemons, pear and honey and fresh acidity. Clean and elegant. Score: 90 - 93 Albany Vintners, - 01 April 2008 |
