The Doisy-Daene 2010 has a rather direct, crisp bouquet, with notes of quince, dried honey and beeswax. There is a sense of steeliness to these aromatics. The palate is ripe and sweet on the entry, with racy lines of acidity and a judicious touch of spice. In a line-up of Sauternes, it lacks the flamboyance and sensuality of the appellation’s more sugar-laden offerings, but it has a class that cannot be denied. Score: 92 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2014-2035 01 April 2014 |

Denis Dubourdieu’s Barsac cru has an attractive bouquet with subtle notes of cooking apple, pear and lime-flower, all with very fine delineation. The palate displays good weight and a fine thread of acidity, lending tension and poise that leads to a taut finish, showing good botrytis levels for the vintage. With its trademark minerality in place, this Doisy-Daene comes highly recommended. Score: 92 - 94 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 03 May 2011 |

Elegant nose with sweet white peach, strawberry and vanilla. Medium sweet on the palate with a lovely pure fruit and fine texture. This Barsac is super charming and well balanced. Very spicy on the finish showing wonderful botrytis intensity. Drink now or hold. Score: 95 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Maturity: 2013+ 04 February 2013 |

Pale lemon green. Lifted nose of pears and minerals - something a bit petrolly - .Plenty of sweetness but very fresh and light on its feet. Score: 92 - 94 Albany Vintners, - 27 April 2011 |

Very pale greenish gold. Very tense. Still embryonic at the moment. In fact the acidity is rather dominant. Really gripped in there for future development. RS 139 g/l, TA 4.05 g/l. 13.7% Score: 17 - 18 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 202-2036 26 April 2011 |

This has power in reserve, but relies more on its acidity, with juicy tangerine, clementine, pear and mango notes laced with a hint of green almond. The finish is long, pure and fresh. Score: 92 - 95 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 05 April 2011 |

Super, pineapple-like nose, wonderful texture, perfect balance, very long, so pure and true to great Barsac type, with the salty element that's so nice for appetitive consumption. Score: 18 - 19 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2016-2040 01 April 2011 |
