Stylish, with tobacco, white pepper and olive notes up front, followed by a medium-weight core of mulled cherry and damson plum fruit. Hints of cherry pit and blood orange frame the lightly firm finish. Best from 2011 through 2018. 500 cases made. Score: 91 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2011-2018 30 September 2010 |

Quite dark crimson with a brownish tinge. Lots of smoke and liquorice, but very polished too - very sumptuous. Black pepper on the finish, but lots of fascinating and well balanced fruit on the mid palate. Very obviously Côte Rôtie with a certain transparency. Lovely wine. Excellent refreshing finish. Score: 18 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2012-2020 04 August 2009 |

The 2007 Cote Rotie La Landonne exhibits classic aromas of scorched earth, black olives, black currants, graphite, and licorice. With good acidity, medium body, and a subtle streak of greenness in the fruit, this 2007 should taste even better out of bottle than it does from barrel (typical for Rostaing’s wines). It should evolve for a decade or more. Score: 88 - 91 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 April 2009 |

There is a tangible step up from the Classique with a lovely gamey nose, with a touch of steaming espresso. Good definition and lots of character. The palate is well defined, very oaky at the moment of course, generous black fruits, black coffee, a touch of cumin, briary and damson. Fine tannins leading to a swaggering finish. Quietly impressive. Score: 92 - 94 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2011-2020 10 January 2009 |
