Vieux Chateau Certan, Haut Bailly & Troplong Mondot 2023

Vieux Chateau Certan is released with a price reduction of 32% on last year.   From the heart of Pomerol neighbouring Petrus, VCC is consistently one of the most refined wines made in Pomerol.  Limited quantity.  "When I think of the archetypes of greatness in Bordeaux, VCC is one of them." (AG) 

Chateau Troplong Mondot is released. This Chateau has undergone a transformation in approach and style since 2017 under the new direction of Aymeric de Gironde (formerly of Cos d'Estournel).  Located on Saint Emilion's highest point overlooking the vintage, Troplong used to one of the latest to harvest; it is now one of the earliest.  Winemaking has been tailored to bring a more distinctive character and the purer, fresher style has won over the critics.  Tight, focused and very long, "the 2023 is simply stunning, one of the best wines yet made". Chateau Haut Bailly is now available. Understated in style but very long and balanced, there is no doubting the impeccable quality here.
