Barde Haut
Bought by the Garcin family (of Haut Bergey and Clos l'Eglise), this property was completely overhauled in 2000 with much of the vineyard replanted (though some very old Cabernet Franc parcels still remain) and a new drainage system installed. Now aided by oenologist Dr Alain Raynaud, this Saint Emilion offers lush, rich, ripe Merlot at accessible prices.
